While this is not a metropolitan library, the selection is great for a rural county like Rowan. The staff are friendly and helpful!
I have been going to this library once a week for over 1 1/2 years now. The staff has always been very kind, helpful & professional to me. I only have 2 minor complaints though - (1) they ONLY hold items for 3 days - it should be longer & (2) their selection of DVDs is very limited in my opinion (PBS movies and British movies especially). But, it's still the best library around ;)
This library doesn't have the best selection of fiction. They will have books sent in from other libraries though if you don't mind waiting. The staff isn't always the most friendly. It's also no a Great place to study. The visitors are often loud and there's no policy about phones so they can often be heard going on and people talking loudly on them.

You can request items not owned by the library for free. Free programs to enjoy weekly. New DVDs and Books, always up-to-date. Anyone can get a free library card here no matter where you are from, you just need a photo ID with a current address or photo ID and document with your name and current address. Library cards gives you access to books, DVDs, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, children's story times, computer classes, Internet access, homework and research help, books clubs, WiFi, programs, and services for all ages. However, staff are under paid.
